Verona Pharma recognizes the importance of supporting external scientific research.
Our External Scientific Research (ESR) program supports research that advances the understanding of our products and therapeutic focus, which may ultimately improve patient care.
Applications for ESR must be supported by the appropriate level of detail regarding the intended use of the funding, including:
Research independently designed and conducted by an external investigator, healthcare institution or medical network.
Research collaboration between Verona Pharma and an external investigator, healthcare institution or medical network in which Verona Pharma may contribute to study design, deliverables, and date interpretation in addition to the provision of support. External Collaborative Research must be aligned with the research goals of Verona Pharma. Our areas of interest include:
Requests for support must have all information required and specified details included in the template document prior to committee review. All proposals are reviewed by the company’s multidisciplinary ESR Review Committee. Not all research will be approved for support. Accepted grant proposals are evaluated thoroughly based on medical or scientific merit, as well as alignment to Verona Pharma’s overarching research goals.

Verona Pharma welcomes proposals for Medical Education grants that help patient and professional healthcare-related organizations deliver educational programs, services, and activities to improve public health, patient experiences and outcomes, and advance scientific knowledge focused on the therapeutic area and disease states of interest.
Verona Pharma will consider proposals for accredited or unaccredited medical education activities or education directed to healthcare professionals, healthcare organizations, and patient organizations.

Requests for support must have all information required and specified details included in the template document prior to committee review. Verona receives a number of worthwhile funding requests. However, not all submitted requests will be approved, and some requests may be approved for a dollar amount less than what is requested.
